Sweco becomes first approved Institute of Asset Management public exam venue in Leeds

Landscape Architecture, Engineering, environment and design consultancy Sweco has become the first public Institute of Asset Management (IAM).

Sweco, which is based in the city, has significant asset management expertise across its UK offices and by becoming an exam venue the company will enable Sweco staff and other individuals to sit exams for the institute’s qualifications.

The IAM has exam venues across the globe and approved Sweco’s Leeds office facilities, resources and staffing and determined the venue satisfied the quality assurance and quality control requirements of the institute.

IAM exam support team, said: “The IAM is delighted to welcome Sweco as a new exam venue to our network of international exam centres. With each new Approved Exam Venue the IAM can continue to expand the reach of its exams and help ensure that more individuals have the opportunity to sit for a an IAM qualification.”

Sweco’s Approved Venue status means the company is now able to arrange exams for staff, as well as supporting local IAM members by offering the company’s Leeds office as an exam venue.

Mark Kaney, director of asset management at Sweco, commented: “We are very happy to be able to offer a public venue for those looking to undertake IAM qualifications at our Leeds office. This will provide further professional development for our own staff, as well as those from outside of the company to enhance their qualifications and knowledge.”
