Cregagh Green is first UK project to be awarded London Marathon Charitable Trust funding

East Belfast’s Cregagh Green is the first project in the UK to be awarded funding by the London Marathon Charitable Trust (LMCT) as part of the Active Spaces programme, delivered in partnership with Fields in Trust to protect and activate outdoor recreation spaces. Cregagh Green will now be protected in perpetuity through a legal Deed of Dedication between Belfast City Council and Fields in Trust. Plaistow Hub given go ahead after receiving planning permission by Newham Council


Newham Council has granted planning permission for Plaistow Hub, a high-quality residential development in east London designed by Pitman Tozer Architects, for client Red Door Ventures. The two-plot development straddles Plaistow Road and features 100 flats on the London Road plot, in a scheme rising to 23 storeys, and a further 82 homes in Valetta Grove in a building which steps up to 15 storeys. Scottish Government grants consent for South Kyle Wind Farm


The Scottish Government has granted consent for 50-turbine South Kyle Wind Farm in the Scottish Uplands of East Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway. The result follows a Public Inquiry which determined that the benefits of the wind farm would be significant. Playforce win contract to create playground in Southwark


Playforce has won a £150,000 contract to create an entire primary school playground in the London borough of Southwark. Work begins on the project at Friars Primary Foundation School in August – with completion expected in September.
