UNESCO awards Lake District World Heritage Status


At a meeting in Poland on ninth July 2017, UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee awarded World Heritage Site status to the Lake District.  In doing so, the Committee praised the area’s beauty, farming and the inspiration it had provided to artists and writers.  It is the 31 place in the UK and overseas territories to be put on the UNESCO World Heritage List alongside Stonehenge, Kew Gardens and Liverpool. Broadway Malyan submit planning for Polish lakeside apartments

Plans have been submitted by Broadway Malyan for a high-end apartment development on the banks of Zegrze Lake to the north of Warsaw. The scheme is one of the first of its kind overlooking the man-made reservoir that is a popular destination for visitors escaping the Polish capital in the summer months. The scheme will include 100 residential units ranging from studios to generous double storey apartments, two levels of underground parking, sport and spa facilities, a restaurant and a small marina.
